Just after returning from Nagoya I went to Kaohsiung with classmates for the weekend, which was quite fun.

We took High Speed Rail from Taipei to Zuoying (in Kaohsiung). This was convenient and also a chance to see the countryside-ish areas on the west coast, which I haven't seen a long time.

The main attraction in Kaohsiung when we were there was Rubber Duck / 黃色小鴨, who was staying in the harbour near the mouth of the Love River. Rubber Duck apparently left Kaohsiung shortly after we did, and will be moving to Taoyuan. I'm not sure where Taoyuan is going to put him/her.

Besides the duck, we also went to Kaohsiung 85, the Love River boats, Lotus Pond and the night market next to it, the harbour ferry and Qijin island.
